For my icon, I chose Frida Kahlo. She has been such a consistent icon in the art world for so long and her face is so recognizable I believe she's a perfect fit for me and this project.

Attempt 1
Being brand new to Illustrator has been a little tough for me but so far, I'd like to think I'm getting the hang of things. I also had trouble uploading my work so far so this is actually a screenshot of my work... I'm thinking of using the lamp as a sun and creating a solar system around it or turning it into a sunrise or sunset.

ReplyDeleteFirst, I love Frida Kahlo! I really like the image you have chosen. I think you have a lot of options here! There is a lot you could manipulate with color and texture, as well as her setting!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful and colorful image, I'm interested to see what sort of changes you can make with color alone. Frida Kahlo paints herself so much it seems we associate her physical appearance (and iconic brow) with her art.
